Rogue Wave Software Releases Klocwork 10.1

Rogue Wave Software announced a new version of its static analysis tool, Klocwork. This release underscores the ongoing commitment by Rogue Wave to help software developers accelerate great code. With a refreshed analysis engine, improved platform support, and more checkers than ever before, Klocwork 10.1 expands developer's security, standards, and reliability strategy while delivering faster results and useful customizations.
Offering more control for Microsoft Visual Studio users, developers can now fine tune when on-the-fly analysis runs. This release adds full issue citing and better performance, creating seamless integration and better control into the environment developers already know.

"The improvements to Visual Studio are in line with our commitment to help developers shorten cycle times," says Jessica Jaclin, principal product manager. "We regularly deliver new product releases, in agile fashion, so developers can deliver their best work."

The new version provides complete support for C# 3.0, improved support for C# 4.0, new and improved metrics, and reduced false positives for all C# versions, and has new checkers for Android, MISRA, C/C++, and Java, providing the increased support developers require.

Other updates include:
* Open up defects found by other tools or processes through kwdefectimport
* Controls to better understand relationships between server and desktop issues
* Improved kwxsync, allowing synchronization data to be saved to a file resulting in less overhead
* Added compiler support for IAR, Nintendo Café, and Tasking DSP56X/SLE88
* Better triage of false positives through automatic reporting
