Inflectra has announced the release of a new cloud-based data synchronization service that lets you easily hook up SpiraTest to your choice of cloud-based project management and issue management systems including Jira.
SpiraTest was designed to be an open test management solution, with the ability to integrate with different bug-tracking and project management tools. Traditionally you would install SpiraTest locally and it would connect to other tools using it's built in data-synchronization framework. However for customers that were using SpiraTest as a cloud-based service (hosted by Inflectra) they needed to use a standalone data-synchronization application (called the Desktop DataSync) instead. With the release of SpiraTest 5.0 this is no longer needed, you can now use the new 100% cloud-based data synchronization service and have it do the work for you. With cloud-based data-synchronization you simply need the URL and login credentials for the other tool.

Plug-Ins for Different Issue Tracking & Project Management Tools

Inflectra hosted data-synchronization service comes out of the box with plugins for integrating with the following cloud-based services:
* Jira
* Bugzilla
* Redmine
* Mantis
* Axosoft
* Fogbugz
* IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC)

In addition, the DesktopDataSync utility is still available for those applications that are not cloud based and have resident components:
* Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server
* IBM Rational ClearQuest
